The Bike

Description: In 2007, when I first got back into riding, I bought what my wife calls my "rookie mistake": a 2007 Scattante CFR Comp. I shouldn't have purchased a carbon frame. I should have focused on buying a commuter bike that I can ride in races rather than a racing bike that can also commute. The wheels lasted me 2 years and about 2000 miles before I had to replace them with higher spoke count wheels. The saddle, shifters, and cassette were also been replaced. And, eventually, I swapped out the frame and forks for something stiffer.
